Medeama part ways with Yaw Preko & Yaw Acheampong after FA Cup humiliation by Hearts

Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC have parted ways head coach Yaw Preko and assistant Yaw Acheampong following the Mauves and Yellow’s loss to Hearts of Oak in the MTN FA Cup.

Preko, a former Hearts of Oak coach, was contracted together with Yaw Acheampong to steer the affairs of the Tarkwa-based side until the end of the season.

Medeama appointed Yaw Preko in March 2021 to fill the void created by the departure of Samuel Boadu to Hearts of Oak.

Preko, 46, was appointed with Acheampong to steer the affairs of the club till the end of the season. But, with the kind of results churned out by the club with the pair in charge the club has decided against renewing the contract of the two coaches as well as other members of the technical team.

However it is unclear whether the decision will affect Seth Ablade who is the technical director of the club.
