Soccerex Americas – Time for the Ghanaian soccer ecosystem to work together with big industry leaders to form a new bubble of life

Ghana is expected to reap its share of the numerous benefits Soccerex offers the world of soccer as the world’s leading nation – the United States of America, hosts the latest installment of the global showpiece in March 2022.

Fatma Samoura, the FIFA General Secretary, has described Soccerex as the number one event that pulls all the industry of football together.

From March 15th to 16th 2022, the global soccer community will converge at the Miami Beach Convention Centre, the USA to chart a new course for world soccer.

From the backdrop of Ghana’s disappointing performance at the 2021 AFCON tournament in Cameroon where the Black Stars suffered its worst-ever campaign at the continental showpiece since its inception in 1957, the Ghanaian football community must take stock of the losses made, undergo a sober reflection, and most importantly learn the modern trends of the sport. And, Soccerex 2022, dubbed ‘Soccerex Americas’ offers the golden opportunity for the soccer community in the West African nation to begin to learn the modern trends of how to get things back on track for the four-time African champions.

The prestigious event is expected to bring together over 2,000 of the game’s senior stakeholders from more than 90 countries in the world – with the hope of creating a unique business environment through an expanded program of industry insight, workshops, and networking opportunities.

Go Ghana LLC – a sports and tourism business consortium based in the USA, is a working partner for Soccerex and will send a group of young innovative Ghanaians made up of soccer and business delegation to the coastal metropolis city of Miami to learn and share their experiences about the modern game.

The Ghanaian soccer ecosystem is currently undergoing some serious challenges from all facets and this has affected almost every unit of the game especially club soccer as the stocks of Ghanaian clubs keeps depreciating. Opportunities also exist for Ghanaian soccer clubs and companies to join the Go Ghana delegation at the event and promote their products and services to the international audience. Though soccer is a global sport, the game has separate cultural backgrounds but, these cultures can be shared and positively transmitted to help shape behavior within the industry, and the event offers Ghanaian clubs the perfect time to learn.

Chief Executive of Go Ghana LLC, Ms. Annie Hiamey, has promised dedicated support to help participants get the most from the event, and also organize pre-arranged meetings with buyers from the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Europe.

According to organizers, there will be an exclusive fireside chat with Ian Nolan, Chief Content Officer, Manchester United. “Manchester United Chief Content Officer, Ian Nolan sits down for a fireside chat to discuss Manchester United and their media strategy, taking the women’s game continental; Laliga and ESPN – the worldwide leader in sport: Join LaLiga’s North American office and ESPN as they look into their quest to make soccer the biggest sport in the region, and how they best integrate with the world’s biggest broadcasters to create a LaLiga experience that stays true to brand while adapting to the newer market among others.”

For the first time, the Department for International Trade (DIT) is also partnering with Soccerex Americas to showcase UK commercial capabilities and thought-leadership within the sports sector and provide an opportunity for UK companies to promote their products and services.

Soccerex, for over 25 years, has brought the global football industry together at best-in-class conferences around the world. “Providing the most enjoyable experience possible for all members of the football community has been the number one priority of Soccerex.”

There is no better time than now for Ghanaian soccer clubs and soccer consumers at large to take advantage of this great opportunity to learn and experience the best from the industry leaders and game-changers from the global spectrum.
