This is Chris Hughton’s first major test as Black Stars head coach
Chris Hughton will have to immediately put a squad together and prepare for the 2024 AFCON qualifying home game against Angola at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars lead Group E however, the four-time AFCON champions are on points terms with Angola’s Palancas Negras.
The Southern Africans will travel to Ghana to face the might of the Black Stars who have been bruised by their recent uninspiring performances at major competitions.
The first major task for the head coach will be to announce his squad for the double-header as well as get positive results from the two games which are on March 19, 2023, and March 27, 2023.
Ghana have won 1 game and drawn 1 in the group and Hughton must make a bold statement of his intent with his call-ups and results.
