Transfer: AshantiGold cancel plans to sign former Hearts of Oak attacker Eric. This is why [Pure FM]

Ghana Premier League side AshantiGold have abandoned their plans to former Hearts of Oak attacker Eric Kumi, according to Kumasi-based Pure FM.

Last week, Asempa FM’s SportsNite reported the Miners were close to securing the signature of the ex-Hearts attacker on a free transfer.

But, the latest reports by Pure FM claim the club and player failed to reach terms on financial details of the agreement leading to termination of the deal.

The reports claim that Kumi wanted a signing-on fee of $11,519 dollars but AshantiGold are unwilling to pay anything more than $5,482.

The situation has left both parties to go their separate ways.
