Transfer: Olympics bless Gladson Awako’s move to Hearts [Oyerepa FM]

Ghana Premier League side Great Olympics have given Hearts of Oak the greenlight to sign midfielder Gladson Awako.

The 30-year-old midfielder is close to joining Hearts of Oak in a $2,000 a month deal. He is expected to undergo medical examination on Friday and complete his move by Monday.

Awako, a former TP Mazembe midfielder, has expressed his willingness to join the Ghanaian double-winners. Despite having just two months left on his contract with the Wonder Club a clause in his contract allowed the Accra-based club to re-sign him to another deal if he chooses to remain on the domestic scene.

He notified Hearts of the clause and requested the Phobians sort the clause out with Olympics which they did.

According to sources Hearts and Olympics have reached a deal and the Phobians have been permitted to carry on with the signing.

Awako paid a visit to Olympics board Chairman, His Excellency Amarkai Amarteifio at his residence in East Legon on Thursday and the board chairman in an interview wit Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM has revealed that he has blessed the former Phoenix Rising star to join the Phobians.

‘’Yes I have met him, I blessed him and I wish Hearts of Oak well in their campaign,” Amarkai Amarteifio told Oyerepa FM.

Hearts have already signed former striker Kofi Kordzi on a three-year deal while Isaac Agyenim Boateng has also joined as a free agent.

Awako and WAFA duo of Enock Asubonteng and Konadu Yiadom are expected to be the last signings by the Phobians.
