Attacker Jonah Attuquaye wins MVP award in Legon Cities victory over 10-man Real Tamale United

Ghana youth international Jonah Attuquaye picked the MVP award in Legon Cities’ 3-2 home triumph over Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday.

The Royals had the 21-year-old Attuquaye to thank for the 85th-minute penalty that proved the winner and the difference between themselves and the newcomers.

He was ultimately voted the MVP of the match following his outstanding performance for the home side.

After sharing the spoils on matchday 1 against Great Olympics at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, the Pride of the North headed south to take on Cities who also drew with Hearts of Oak on the same matchday.

Cities head coach Maxwell Konadu named Nasiru Moro, former Cape Town City FC player Joseph Adjei as well as Michel Otou in his starting XI while his RTU counterpart had former AshantiGold midfielder Sandan Abagna in his squad.
