Black Stars: These are the high-profile ExCo members tasked by the Ghana FA to find a new coach for Ghana

The Ghana Football Association has named three high-profiled Executive Council members to find a new coach for the Black Stars within the next 72 hours.

Charles Akonnor has been fired as head coach of the senior national team along with two of his assistants David Duncan and Patrick Greveraars following Ghana’s unimpressive run in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

As a result, three members of the Executive Council have been named to find a replacement for the technical team.

A GFA statement reads: “The Executive Council has formed a three (3) Member Committee made up of Vice President Mark Addo, Upper East Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Salifu Zida, and Dr. Randy Abbey to find a Head Coach and Assistant Coaches for the Black Stars within the next 72 hours.”

Ghana takes on Zimbabwe next month in the next stage of the qualifiers.
