Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have slapped a seven-day suspension on midfielder Latif Anabila over his unsporting conduct, according to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
The 24-year-old did not make himself available for the club’s trip to Bechem to face Bechem United in the matchday 33 clash. Kotoko lost the tie 2-1.
According to reports from Kumasi the club classified the former New Edubiase United midfielder’s reasons for failing to turn for the trip as cheap and untenable.
The reports further states that Anabila was prevented from training with the club upon his arrival at the club’s Adako Jachie as he has been told to stay away from the club for seven days.
Kotoko signed Anabila on free transfer after his contract with regional rivals AshantiGold expired last October.
He has featured 17 times for the Porcupine Warriors this season.
