Ghana Premier League: Hearts have not won the league title yet – Hearts coach Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has failed to declare his side as champions of the Ghana Premier League despite winning over biggest rivals Asante Kotoko in a match pundits described as the decider.

The Phobians coasted to victory following a 65th minute world class finish from 19-year-old attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh.

The victory has put the Phobians clearly above Kotoko at the summit of the league table with three games left to draw down the curtains of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.

Boadu speaking to Eli Kondoh in the post match interview said: “Not really. We haven’t won the league title yet. We have to fight extra hard to secure the remaining 9 points from the three matches. But, we are on course to winning but we need to work extra hard.”

Hearts of Oak defender Fatawu Mohammed was voted the MVP of the match which attracted over 100,000 live views from the broadcast right holders StarTimes.
