Hearts of Oak attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has become one of the front runners to win the Ghana Premier League Player of the Season award after scoring his latest goal for the Phobians.
Afriyie Barnieh, 19, headed home a Salifu Ibrahim well calibrated cross into the box in first-half stoppage-time to put the Phobians 1-0 ahead before Kwame Paul stole the equaliser for Liberty with a few minutes left to play.
The Ghana U20 attacker has been one of the biggest revelations of the season after bursting unto the scene in the cancelled 2019/20 season.
Afriyie was on target for Hearts in their slender 1-0 win over Accra Young Wise in the MTN FA Cup round of the 16 game and also scored the decisive win over Asante Kotoko.
He has scored 7 goals in all competitions in his maiden full season for the capital club who will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Champions League.
