IMAGES: Faisal v Dwarfs Ghana Premier League clash rescheduled as Ohene Ameyaw Park is left submerged in water following torrential downpour in Techiman
Torrential rains in Techiman has forced the Ghana Premier League matchday 33 tie between relegation-threatened sides King Faisal and Ebusua Dwarfs to be rescheduled.
Rains started mid-morning in the Bono East capital and poured down cats and dogs for several hours non-stop.
The pitch at the Ohene Ameyaw Park, which serve as the home venue for King Faisal and Techiman Eleven Wonders, has not been able to contain the downpour rendering the pitch unplayable.
The situation has left match officials and organisers of the Premier League with no option than to reschedule the game to Monday due to Eleven Wonders’ clash with Medeama SC at the same venue on Sunday afternoon.
The situation leaves question marks on the quality of work done by the club licensing board which approve pitches in the Ghana Premier League.
